Lawn Mowing & Deep Edging in South Austin, Buda & Kyle

A lot of crews run a string trimmer along the curb and call it edging. We cut a clean, vertical deep edge along every driveway, sidewalk, and bed line, then mow at the right height for your grass and the time of year. It is the reason a yard we cut still looks sharp the week after.

  • Sharp, alternating mow patterns at the correct height for your grass
  • Real deep edging along drives, walks, curbs, and beds, not a quick string trim
  • String trimming, plus we blow off every hard surface and haul the debris
  • Weekly, biweekly, or one time. Recurring clients keep the same crew
Lawn Mowing & Deep Edging

Mowing height is where most Austin lawns go wrong. St. Augustine under a live oak wants to stay tall, and cutting it short in July invites scalping, chinch bugs, and brown patch. Bermuda and Zoysia on a sunny new build lot want a lower, more frequent cut. We set the deck for your turf and the season instead of running one height on every yard on the street.

Deep edging is what makes the difference from the curb. A crisp line along concrete and beds holds its shape between visits and keeps runners from creeping into flower beds and driveway joints, which matters on the fast growing lawns around Buda and Kyle. On a recurring plan you keep the same crew, so they learn your gate, your pets, and the soft spots in the yard.

Lawn Mowing & Deep Edging: common questions

How often should I mow in Austin?
From about April through October most Austin area lawns look best on a biweekly schedule, and heavily watered St. Augustine may want weekly. Growth slows a lot in winter, so many clients switch to monthly or on call. We will suggest a schedule for your yard with no lock in.
What is deep edging and why does it cost more than trimming?
Deep edging cuts a clean vertical line into the soil along your hard surfaces and beds instead of just knocking down tall blades with a string trimmer. It takes longer and needs the right blade, and it is the reason the lawn still looks finished a week after we leave.
Do you bag the clippings?
For a routine cut we mulch the clippings back into the lawn, which returns nitrogen to the soil. On the first cut of the season, an overgrown yard, or leaf heavy fall visits, we bag and haul as needed.
